Atanga Marina mangwi



Communication





MARINA is a development expert and she holds a master’s in Humanitarian Action and Sustainable Development from the International Relations Institute of Cameroon (IRIC). She also holds a BSC in Women's Studies and Mass Communication from the University of Buea. She is in charge of Communication in WOPEN. She is the Bamenda III Council Community Animator, Disability Focal Person and Public Relations Officer who accompanies communities to achieve local Inclusive Community based solutions to the local problems encountered in 63 communities in the subdivision. She is a cofounder and programs officer of the Association of the welfare of women and indigenous People (ASOWIP). She has obtained training in sign language interpretation, inclusive development, gender based violence and child protection, menstrual hygiene management, news writing and broadcasting. “She believes in a society free from violence and in decentralized local development that can be achieved if there exist equal and fair distribution in opportunities and development initiatives for all”.
