CHALLENGES

Insecurity and tension in the NW Region: The constant killings. Gunshots and ghost towns greatly affect the network’s ability to carry out activities and reach affected communities.

Limited Funding: The needs of communities are more and more overwhelming as tensions increase. However the network does not have sufficient funds to implement projects or follow up on initiated activities.

Lack of a Protection Mechanism for Women Peacebuilder on the field.

RECOMMENDATIONS

More advocacy for stakeholders and community members to engage in the peacebuilding process.

Provision of more programs for women and men to counter hate and violence extremism in schools and communities.

More training on community mediation with the municipal and regional council for an effective participation of women peacebuilders in communities.

Creating more safe spaces for women victims of the crisis to enhance psychosocial support.
